Sticker for biodegradable waste (GFT)
In the sub-municipalities, we collect organic waste in a container for biodegradable waste. Place a valid sticker on your container every year.
When do you need a sticker?
A container for biodegradable waste must always have a valid sticker. You must replace the sticker every year:
- From the beginning of January you can buy a sticker for the new year.
- The container must have a valid sticker by 28 February at the latest.
Prices and number of stickers
- Container of 40 liters
1 sticker of € 27 - Container of 120 liters
1 sticker of € 65 - Container of 240 liters
2 stickers of € 65

Discount after 31 March for new residents
Just moved to Leuven? If you buy a green waste sticker after 31 March, you pay less:
- From 1 April to 30 June: You pay 75% of the price.
- From 1 July to 30 September: You pay 50% of the price.
- From 1 October to 31 December: You pay 25% of the price.

Request a new sticker. Visit the sanitation department during opening hours.
