Recycling centres
Apart from the waste that the municipal services and EcoWerf collect from the pavements, you can also take waste to the recycling centre yourself. In the recycling centre, waste is collected selectively for recycling.

Who has acces?
With identity card
Residents of Leuven have access with their identity card.
With temporary admission card
These people are granted access with a temporary admission card:
- Future residents who are renovating a property in Leuven
- Residents who have recently moved and whose identity card has not yet been updated
- Temporary residents of Leuven, e.g. students
- Owners of a property in Leuven who do nog live there themselvers, e.g. landlords
- People who do not have an identity card (at the moment)
With an access card for organisations
Schools and non-profit organisations in Leuven are granted access with an access card.

Not permitted
Not for entrepreneurs with commercial waste or waste from works in Leuven.

- Discarded electric and electronic devices
- Small Hazardous Waste (paint residues, frying oil, spray cans of poisonous products,…)
- Candles
- Mattresses

- Tree trunks, grass, leaves
- Aerated concrete
- Plaster and lime
- Glass (container glass and glass sheets separately)
- Bulky refuse (additional fee)

- PMD (in the blue PMD bag with the EcoWerf logo)
