Restoration of the salons in the Town Hall

We have restored the historic salons. This work had been planned for some time and, to a certain extent, was separate from the re-purposing project. These works have now been completed.

About the salons

The salons are located in the Achterhuis, the oldest part of the Town Hall, built between 1439 and 1445. The stately décor of the salons dates from the mid-19th century. Nowadays, the salons are used to hold weddings.

  • Installing thin double glazing in the existing frames
  • Restoring the mayoral portraits
