Elections: where and when to vote?

Invitation letter

All residents with voting rights received an invitation letter by post. Residents who activated their eBox also received their letter there digitally.

The invitation letter will tell you when you can vote in which polling station.

Invitation letter lost or not received?

Collecting a copy

You can pick up a copy with your identity card at the city office, during opening hours. This is free of charge and can be done without an appointment.

Digital version

If you received the letter (also) via eBox, you do not need to request a copy. The digital version on your smartphone is sufficient.
The digital version of the invitation letter is not valid to vote by proxy. You need a paper invitation letter.

Did you move to Leuven after 1 August 2024?

Then you are still registered in your previous municipality to vote there. You will not receive an invitation letter from Leuven.

When to vote?

Election sites are open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

To avoid waiting times, we recommend arriving at the hour specified in your letter. That way, everyone doesn’t come at the same time.

Where to vote?

You can only vote at the polling station listed in your letter.
