How to apply for first orange card in Leuven?

Step 1: Register yourself with the city

Make an appointment. You can do so online or by phone.

Do you want to register several persons? They must all come along. Therefore, indicate online the correct number of persons for the appointment, or mention this when you call.

What do you need to bring?

  • Annex 26 (or possibly ‘annex 25’)
  • National passport, if you have one

Step 2: We check your address

A local police officer will check whether you reside at your permanent address.

Step 3: Apply for orange card

Has the police officer confirmed your address? Then we will email you an invitation to apply for an orange card.

You will receive an invitation to have your address updated on your orange card (by appointment).
