Where can you park with your digital parking permit for residents?

Do you live in a zone where you have to pay a parking fee or display a parking disk? With a parking permit for residents (residential parking permit) you can park in these zones without needing a parking disk.

On which streets are you allowed to park?

That depends on the zone you live in.

Which parking spaces you are allowed to park in?

  • Parking spaces marked with a blue traffic sign with the letter "P" and an additional sign 'Parkeerkaart' (see photo) are reserved for people with the parking permit.
  • Parking spaces in the blue zone where you would normally need to display a parking disc.
  • Parking spaces in the paid zone where you would normally need to start a parking session via a parking meter, SMS, or app.

Where are you not allowed to park?

Always follow traffic regulations. The parking permit does not apply to:

  • Other reserved parking spaces, for people with disabilities or car-sharing vehicles.
  • Short-term parking spaces, such as shop and go, kiss and ride and loading and unloading
  • Parking spaces for another vehicle, such as for taxis, police, buses, (light) trucks
  • Places with a parking ban
  • Parking spaces in a zone with an access permit

How is that checked?

The parking attendant checks on-site in the database whether you have permission to park there.
