Police regulations

The coordinated police regulations describe what is and is not allowed in the public domain in Leuven.

What is it about?

The city has established a number of rules to ensure that residents and visitors live together in harmony in the city. These rules are bundled together in the coordinated police regulations. The topics include:

  • Household waste
  • Parking a bicycle
  • Occupying the public domain
  • Advertising in the public domain
  • House numbering

With these regulations, the city aims to combat all kinds of public nuisance such as pollution, disorder and noise.
