How does it work?

You start, pause and stop a ride with the Blue-bike app:

1. Download the app and register.
2. Choose a price plan.
3. Go in the app to the Blue-bike location where you are.
4. Select a bike.
5. Open the digital lock via Bluetooth.
6. You can start your ride.
7. You may return the bike to any Blue-bike location in our transport region.

Prices

You can choose between 3 price options:

  • Regular city bike
    • €1 per 30 minutes
    • Max. €2,5 for the first 12 hours
  • Electric bike:
    • €2 per 30 minutes
    • Max. €5 for the first 12 hours
• Member (annual or monthly subscription)
  • Regular city bike:
    • €2 per month
    • €12 per year
    • €1 per 30 minutes
    • Max. € 2,5 for the first 24 hours
  • Electric bike:
    • €2 per month
    • €12 per year
    • €2 per 30 minutes
    • Max. €5 for the first 24 hours
• Member Plus (monthly subscription)
  • Regular city bike: unlimited riding for €35 per month
  • Electric bike: unlimited riding for €70 per month

Cozywheels

Cozywheels allows you to share your own bike with others or use a bike from someone in your neighbourhood. This can be any type of bike, for example a cargo bike, e-bike, wheelchair bike, or tandem.

Rent a bike

For a longer period

You can rent a second-hand bike for a longer period from Velo.

For 1 or several days

For day trips you can rent city bikes, electric bikes, tandems, wheelchair bikes and duo bikes for people with a disability at the Velo Fietspunt.

Rent a children's bike for longer period

With VELOKadee you rent a children’s bike and exchange it when it becomes too small.

Use a shared cargo bike

The electric shared cargo bikes are temporarily not available. We are working on a new offer for spring 2026.
