Presiding officer and poll clerk in a polling station
You can be called to serve as a presiding officer or poll clerk at a polling station during elections.
Presiding officer
The court itself will convene a group of Leuven residents to chair a polling station on Sunday, 13 October 2024. Those individuals will receive a registered letter and a letter in their eBox in September 2024.
Can’t attend on Sunday, 13 October 2024?
Then send a mail to the court: verkiezingen.leuven@just.fgov.be
Poll clerk
The presiding officer of the polling station decides who serves as a poll clerk. Poll clerks will receive a letter via their eBox or a mail in September 2024.
Duties of a poll clerk
- You will assist the presiding officer in organising the polling station.
- You make sure the vote is valid.
- You help make election day as smooth as possible for voters.
- You provide legally valid documents to correctly conclude election day.
