Changing a resting place

After burial (exhumation)

To assign another resting place after burial, you can request an exhumation.

The mayor can only give permission for this for exceptional and compelling reasons.

After cremation

With cremation, there are more options to change the resting place. Sometimes you can even take the funerary urn home from the cemetery.
